Prayers for Maguindanao

Almost a week after the horrible incident, families, friends and colleagues are still  in search of justice. I share their sentiments  and I am one with them in prayer.

Once again the Philippines made it to the books. Holding  yet another title for the most number of journalists killed in one incident. It's not about killing media men that is alarming  but  the sense of lawlessness in certain places in our country, especially in Mindanao. Doesn't matter  what their professions are.  These journalists are people too. A father, a mother, a husband, a wife, a son, a daughter to someone. It's not just about suppressing the news but rather because there are  people waiting for them to come home.
It's just sick and unimaginable that someone could commit and mastermind such an act, whatever the motivation maybe. Rido or not! I don't believe in  capital punishment but right now that's all I could think of, so as to even out the playing field somehow. After all, this is more heinous than rape and even more serious than drug trafficking. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth as they say.
